Software
Bovada's software is truly unique. No other platform uses this software. The cards are
large, and easy to read even when the tables are resized to accommodate multiple tables.
Four color decks, chat filtering/muting, player notes, and uploadable avatars, really all
the best customizable features are available at Bodog Poker. One distinct feature is a
spotlight that moves around the table, highlighting the player who's turn it is to act.
The table layout is singular also, with its partitioned look, and absence of old style fake
chairs.
Overlays!
An overlay is when a guaranteed tournament does not reach its target player number and the
site has to add cash to the pool. For example, a $1500 guaranteed tournament with a $10+1
buyin only has 120 players registered. this means the poker site has to add the $300 that
is left to meet the guarantee. Bodvada offers many daily guaranteed events, and almost all
of them have an overlay. The weekly $100,000 guaranteed typically has $20,000 or more
added to the pool by Bovada. Multi-table tournament players really cannot afford to miss
out on this extra cash, and are doing themselves a disservice by not playing at Bovada
Poker.
Cash Games
Though the multi-table tournament overlays are a big deal, this does not mean that is all
there is at Bovada Poker. The cash games are extremely active and well populated at every
level of play. Many experts describe Bovada's cash tables as "soft", you should judge that
aspect for yourself.
Real Freerolls
Bovada holds three open freerolls every day. At press time these freerolls were at 2:40 pm
est, 9:40 pm est, and 4:00 am est. All three are $500 freerolls with 99-63 players paid.
No 10 cent cashes at Bovada, every player who cashes the freerolls wins at least a dollar.
